Final trimester postpartum planning to help you prepare for the arrival of newborns.
Newborn care and feeding education, in your home with hands on practice.
Postpartum home visits to assess and assist with feedings and newborn care.
Throughout your pregnancy, you receive a great deal of healthcare support. After your babies are born, you often do not have a follow-up appointment for 4-6 weeks! But this time is full of potential needs: your physical recovery, sleep deficit and fatigue, and hormone shifts. On top of this, meeting the care and feeding needs of infants can feel daunting.
The fourth trimester, or the first 12 weeks after a baby is born, is when birth givers need more support. Your body needs to heal physically and emotionally. Babies are adjusting to the outside world. This is the time when you need a village of support.
This time is full of love and joy, while also having feelings of being overwhelmed, exhausted and emotionally drained. I want to support you through this transition. You receive hands on support for the brief time you are in the hospital after babies are born but then it just ends! What next?? You are home with these tiny humans who do not follow the plan the books prepared you for! Let me support and guide you during this transition, making things feel more smooth and successful.
"As an expectant first time mom, taking Faith’s newborn care and feeding course helped give me and my partner the knowledge and resources we needed in order to build our confidence and help us understand what to anticipate in the transition to parenthood. Her passion, skills and experience as a mother, labor/delivery and postpartum nurse really shines through. I appreciated how she carefully listened and thoughtfully answered our numerous questions and helped address concerns related to pre-eclampsia.
Her classes provide hands on learning that’s both practical and informative which made it fun and enjoyable. I also appreciated the convenience of her offering this education in the comfort of our home.
My husband and I feel much more prepared and empowered now that we have the necessary tools and information we were looking for in order to start this journey off on the right foot. I wholeheartedly recommend reaching out to Faith during this crucial time; it’s made an enormous difference and her support is invaluable. Thank you, Faith!"
"I had successfully nursed my two singletons so was shocked when one of my twins clearly wasn't getting what he needed. Our pediatrician wasn't supportive of our feeding goals and we were scared and unsure of what to do. I reached out to Faith for help and soon she was at my house helping with positioning, latch, and getting a plan in place that we felt good about and that got our sweet boys what they needed to thrive. It was such a scary time and Faith gently offered options and ideas while holding space for us as we navigated this very new territory of parenting twins. I'll be forever grateful for her empathy as a fellow twin mama and her professional knowledge as a nurse. Thank you, Faith!"
"I will forever be grateful for Faith and her kindness. We met at a second hand baby sale and she was volunteering at the register as I anxiously bought all of my twin newborn wishlist. Instead of just checking me out and moving on, she noticed my general nervousness and started a conversation. She invited me to coffee to talk about being a twin mom and I was so incredibly relieved. We met a short time later and she gave me SO many tips, tricks and advice that I had never thought of even though I already had a 2 year old at home. Faith not only has incredible knowledge but she listened deeply. Faith wanted to know what my core parenting values were and gave me advice that worked in partnership with my values as a mom. I continue to be so grateful for Faith’s willingness to notice and support a mom who was feeling really nervous and unprepared."
